Rudy's Figs - and Fig Trees!

Rudy (one of our customers) came in today, to buy some feta and prosciutto. The reason: his fig trees are laden and he intends to make the most of it with this simple recipe.

Ingredients:
-fresh figs
-feta
-prosciutto

Method:
Split figs open without cutting them in half. Stuff them with feta. Wrap them with prosciutto. Warm the stuffed, wrapped figs in the oven at a medium temperature until the prosciutto is hot and the feta is nice and soft. Serve immediately with a cool, gooseberry-ish sauvignon blanc.

We can't wait to try this.

And here's a hot tip for anyone who is landscaping, gardening or just wanting some beautiful fruit trees - Rudy has several young fig trees available, of many varieties. He can be reached at silverleaf@shaw.ca
